My take on Natural Newborn Photography, Sunshine Coast edition

Your natural newborn photography session is about capturing your baby’s expressions, all the details you never want to forget and your the incredible love you have for them.

Newborn photoshoots are best done during their first few weeks of life because those details you want to capture change so very quickly in the beginning. Your baby is at their most delicate and vulnerable state during this time, and you’ll cherish these photos for years to come.

What to expect

  1. The best time for your photoshoot is during the first two weeks after they are born. This is when they are still very sleepy and can easily be posed in various positions. BUT if you miss this window, you will love the photos we capture at your photoshoot regardless of how many weeks your baby is.
  2. My studio is designed to make sure you and your baby are comfortable during your session.  I have all the tools of trade that make capturing these moments a breeze.  I’ve been doing this for over a decade and I promise I’ve covered every possible scenario in that time!
  3. It’s the details we are after.  The smiles, yawns, stretches, wrinkles, pouts, smiles and how they clutch you with their tiny hands.
  4. I love including family setups in every session and even though I know you don’t feel like being in photos now, I promise you’ll be glad you were.
  5. Pets are welcome if you’re comfortable with them around your baby.  Get in touch and we can discuss the practical details.
  6. The sibling photo can be tricky to get depending on the age of your other children and how excited they are about a new baby, but we can work with them to make it fun so that they enjoy it and want to participate.   I also start with toddlers because their attention span isn’t always as long as we need it to be.  Split sessions are sometimes more practical so we can chat about the options that suit your family best.
  7. Extended family are welcome too, just let me know in advance so I can plan accordingly.

I’ve got the patience and you’ll bring the love, and together we will create some amazing images that you will love forever!
