An adventure is about to begin!

Your Maternity Photography experience is about capturing this time beautifully <3

Here’s a guide on what to expect from your Maternity Photography Experience:-

1.  Let’s Chat

I want to get to know you, what you love, what your family is like and what you want from your photoshoot.  We can book the studio and look at low light images that just show the outline of your shape using light, or spend some time on the beach capturing real moments with your family with a few portraits to showcase your beautiful shape now.  Let’s create something amazing together that suits your style perfectly and captures this time beautifully.

The best time for a maternity photoshoot is between 32 and 36 weeks because this is the time when your bump is quite pronounced but before you are feeling less energetic and lethargic.

Of course every person is different and you know your body best, so we could book a tentative date and if you feel you want to bring it forward or move it later we can discuss the available dates that suit you to do that.

2.  Your Photoshoot

We custom design your photoshoot to create the images you want.  We meet normally an hour before sunset and spend an hour or so just hanging out.  I will guide you to locations and gently pose you for a flattering angle and using various prompts I will encourage natural interactions to ensure we capture beautiful portraits which show you character and emotions.  I want you to feel these moments all over again each time you look at your images.

Photoshoots can be anywhere between 45 and 90 minutes depending on various factors like how many people are included at your photoshoot, how many outfit changes you want and if you have picked a location change.

3.  Your Gallery

Within 7 days of your photoshoot your images will be ready, and this may well be the most exciting part of the entire process!  You can opt for an online gallery or I love presenting your images at my studio which gives you an opportunity to see all the professional print products available for yourself.  I’m also a great help at picking favourites when you get stuck!

You can expect to see anywhere between 20 and 150 images in your gallery.  This depends on how much time we spent together and how the photoshoot played out.  I include a variety of expressions so that you’re able to choose the ones that are most natural to you.

Your gallery will have a variety of images captured from different perspectives, in different lighting and with a select few images converted to black and white.  My black and white edits are not just a straightforward conversion, each image is hand edited to create a beautiful, high contrast and impactful black and white image.

Digital packages are available in addition to the extensive range of stunning professional print products available.

4.  Printing your Artwork

Once you have selected the perfect images and together we have created something truly amazing to showcase on your walls at home, I begin preparing your files and get them off to one of my carefully selected printers all over the world.  This process can take 3-4 weeks.

Custom designing of Wall Art Collections or Collage Frames is part of your experience so take advantage of my experience to ensure your final products match your vision.

My print products all carry guarantees of 35 -75 years so you are assured of a quality product that will last a lifetime!

Beautiful Backlit Family Portraits at Hyde Park Golden hour is great for backlit images. During this time, the sun is low on the horizon and creates beautiful, warm lighting.
